About

Our Mission

At Liminal Grounds, my mission is to support individual and collective transformation in service of Deep Listening — within ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth.

We are living in a threshold moment. Old paradigms are dissolving, and new ways of relating are asking to be embodied. Rather than striving for perfection, I believe we are being invited into balance — into presence with what is — and into right relationship with the worlds we inhabit.

My work weaves together somatic coaching, ritual practice, and ecological restoration. Through Hakomi-informed inquiry, ritual & ceremony, and hands-on re-wilding and land regeneration, I support a return to thriving ecosystems — both inside and out.

I deeply value liberation as something which emerges when we align with our truth and participate consciously in the web of life.

I am here to walk beside you as you listen more closely, root more deeply, and remember your place within the living whole.

Who We Are

Kiah (Dionysia)

I have been working in community spaces for over 15 years, devoted to the question of how we live in right relationship — with ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth.

My work is rooted in reciprocity. I am less interested in fixing or improving people, and more interested in cultivating presence, balance, and alignment with what is true.

Through somatic inquiry, ritual practice, and land-based engagement, I create spaces where people can listen more deeply — to their bodies, their longings, their grief, and the ecosystems they belong to.

Since 2017, I have worked extensively with California native plants and land-based community initiatives. My foundation in ecological design spans over a decade, and I have learned alongside attuned land stewards committed to regeneration and long-term relationship with place. Working directly with native landscapes has shaped how I understand liberation — not as transcendence, but as participation in living systems.

I moved to California in 2018 from Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) to complete my graduate degree in Anthropology and Social Change at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Over the years, I have organized earth-based festivals, retreats, and gatherings; led workshops; and facilitated rituals and ceremonies rooted in reverence and relational responsibility.

I began my personal journey with plant medicine in 2008 and have trained for eight years within the Shipibo lineage and other earth-based ceremonial traditions.

My approach emphasises integrity, humility, and reciprocity.

I am currently training in the Hakomi Method of somatic coaching as a practice of embodied self-inquiry.

Today, I offer individual and small group ceremonies, somatic coaching, and land-based experiences in service of collective liberation and right relationship.

Mercury

Mercury has been Dionysia's companion since 2014. Since then, he has been involved in many community and plant-based projects.

Mercury's energetic sensitivity and emotional awareness bring a grounded presence to spaces. His gifts of play and protection evoke safety and joy in those lucky enough to spend time with him.

Mercury acts as a teacher for humans to learn the depths of love and relationship possible  with our non-human kin.

Testimonials

"I’m still feeling the aftermath of my journey that I did back in March of this year. It was a potent experience that allowed me to release plenty, as I prepare to step into the next chapter. The ceremony was a beautiful co-creation of what I desired and needed, Dionysia’s guidance. I very much felt held and supported. 10/10 can recommend!" - Danajha

"I felt completely safe and relaxed during and around my ceremony with Dionysia. Their presence felt warm, encouraging, and completely non-judgemental for whatever type of experience came up. They set a clear outline for how they would conduct the ceremony, which felt appropriately respectful and reverential to the medicine and the sacred tradition and also helped me know what to expect as I went in. It was helpful to think aloud and reflect with them at the integration session a week later too; they were a thoughtful mirror to the experience and resulting insight without imposing any of their own interpretations." - Eli

"Doing ceremony with Dionysia was profoundly powerful. They held space for me, helped me see my shadows and gently guided me to integration. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work with them." - Nayomi
